Even if they might be unaware of their professional achievements and the everyday drama they might go through, their personal lives have been airing for the world to see for quite some time now. They often make the headlines for their controversial and ignorant statements. On Thursday night, sisters Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian arrived at the Mumbai airport to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. As netizens are going gaga over their arrival and are expressing their excitement to see the Kardashian sisters in ethnic Indian ensembles, an old video of Kim has surfaced which has left them shocked.
A netizen recently took to Reddit and shared an old clip, which dates back to 2012, from the reality show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’. Sitting in their car, Kim and her sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are seen discussing Indian foods, in one of the episodes. After the clip had gone viral, and the sisters were criticised and mocked for their ‘selective racism,’ the entrepreneur took to her blog to apologise and clarify that she was just sharing her opinion. She added that she didn’t want to offend anyone. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she wrote, “In NO way was my comment intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste. There are a lot of foods I don’t like... I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture. My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. Well as soon as the clip surfaced, netizens began to discuss how Kim will be surviving the wedding if she doesn’t like Indian food.
According to an exclusive India Today report, Kim and Khloe will be documenting the entire Ambani wedding for their reality show ‘The Kardashians’, which streams on Hulu. They have brought their entire entourage with them along with their hairstylist Chris Appleton and the filming producers. They will be capturing their Mumbai airport, from their arrival, attending the Ambani-Merchant wedding to their departure from India. The reality show is currently in its fifth season. The sixth season of the show will reportedly feature the highlights from Anant and Radhika’s wedding.
